CSA Program Agreement
2026 CSA Agreement: Terms and Conditions
Thank you for your interest in Hidden Pearl Farm's CSA Program! Below are the terms and conditions of becoming a member of the CSA program. Please read through the terms to ensure you understand how the CSA program works and what your commitment entails.
I acknowledge that by purchasing a Hidden Pearl Farm CSA share, I agree to the following terms and conditions:
- Pickup: I understand that I am committing to picking up my CSA share every Saturday from May 16-September 26, 2026, from the pickup location that works best for me, either Zionsville Farmers Market (8-11:30 a.m.), or Bloomington Farm Stop Collective (5:30-6:30 p.m.). I understand that if I do not pick up my box within the time slot associated with each location, my items will be forfeited. If I am unable to pick up my share on a given week, I will communicate this to Hidden Pearl Farm at least one week in advance of that market date. If I am unable to pick up my share on a given week but will have another person picking up for me, I will communicate that to Hidden Pearl Farm at least 24 hours before that market date and ensure that the person picking up for me understands where and when to pick up my share.
- Seasonal ebb and flow: I understand that I will not receive the same items each week, but rather a variety of items over the season, depending on what is growing in the field. I understand that I will receive a number of items within the range associated with the share type I have purchased (Full, 6-10 items per week; Half, 4-6), and that some weeks will have more items than others. I understand that this is a natural part of sharing in the ebb and flow of the season’s harvest.
- Unpredictable variables: I understand that by joining the CSA program, I am sharing in the bounty of the season but also the risk of crop failure, pests, disease, extreme weather, or other unforeseen circumstances may affect the harvest and farm’s production. I understand that this risk is inherent to the enterprise of farming. Hidden Pearl Farm will be transparent about the season’s progress and any crop failure, and should crop failure occur, endeavor to replace an item that may be unavailable with another item that is in-season.
- Item exchange: I understand that I have the option to ask to exchange one item in my CSA share each week for another at the time of pickup if there is an item I do not like, or an item I want more of, provided the desired item is available. I understand that the more I communicate about my experience with the CSA share and with Hidden Pearl Farm, the better the farm will be able to anticipate my preferences, and that an open dialogue and feedback are the best way to get the most out of the CSA experience.
- Communication: I understand that as a CSA member, I agree to communication via email about the CSA program, and that it is my responsibility to stay informed about any changes or updates I receive. I understand that I will receive a weekly email with farm updates, recipes, upcoming items, crop storage suggestions, and other helpful information. Should I wish to unsubscribe to these emails, I am free to do so, but I understand that unsubscribing does not void the terms of this CSA agreement. Should I have feedback or questions about the CSA, I can provide that at time of pickup, in an email to the farm, or in the end-of-season survey that Hidden Pearl Farm will send to my email address.
- Refund policy: I understand that Hidden Pearl Farm does not offer a refund policy for the CSA program, as funds received from the CSA program are used to buy seeds, supplies, amendments, tools, and other preliminary costs necessary with the growing season.
- Packed with care: I understand that as a CSA member, I will be receiving a weekly share that has been packed with care by Hidden Pearl Farm, with an eye to providing the best of the harvest to CSA members first as supporters who have invested directly in the success of the season and the farm as a whole.
